RIGHT ON
It's simple ___
Carrots are chopped on the right hand counter top, which is much larger than the left one. When chopped there, they've got to be right on.
A bright idea flashes out of the blue. Slightly uncomfortable for it to just appear. So I scrounge up reasons such as more is better. Or many hands lighten the load, a good one.
And things get washed. Spoons, for instance.

Either way, call the Wizard of Oz. He owes nothing to a time and motion study which proved, no surprise, that time is money. No military-industrial or whatever is going to pester my veggies. Nonetheless, there is measurable time here. The kitchen clock ticks. The grubbers gab like Ben Franklin somewhere, but we (editorial, magisterial, unfettered) are traveling the yellow brick road!
For neigh on eighty years, this right hand has ruled. But now, for no obvious reason, I grant the left exploration rights. A cruel irony, and where's the justice?
A multidimensional fiction movie granted Dr. Strangelove's Nazi salute -- with his right hand, remember that?
At first, while still running the show, Mr. Right is magnanimous, even rushing in to catch a slipping spoon. The left hand, with a tremor, tries out its place in the new scheme of things. To learn, it copies how its mentor does seemingly easy jobs.
Within a week, spoon grabbing becomes almost habitual. And that's when an unexpected Strangelove move happens. Unbelievably, “my” hands are having an argument! Who will mediate the squabble?
The only one around, “I” kick the training up a notch.
CONTRAST
Mr. Left is finding more things to do, no need to ask permission. No Starbucks training needed and working quite handily with Mr. Right. In fact it's amazing. Lightens the mood. And I'm tempted: Mission Accomplished! But more fundamentally, whose mission?
Money, power, politics – carrots! Leave the implications for some other Wizard.
I'll just be chopping along.
