Snow Crackers Wild Bird Seed has jest been invented. It was on the shelf, or some would say under the feeder, for a long time. A product like this doesn't come along everyday, but when it does most of us are looking the other way. Just getting regular white bread is so time consuming.
Here in Siliconland, Elon Musk plans to manufacture nano-wires to attach to my head through which to infuse Artificial Intelligence. The Musk has mused it will be, eventually, our means of outwitting the singularity. Go with the flow. Ride the wave. I feel cared for because the way he talks this must be on a mass scale, like the tunnel he wants to build under Los Angeles.
Big Beeland and the doves, and squirrel, are devoid of Snow Crackers. The usual seeds here are fine. We're having a momentary bout of normal weather.
Is there enough Musk money to hook us all up, all of the time? It seems harder than replacing Obamacare. He's spreading my welfare thin.
On the patio a pill bug crosses casually, meeting no traffic. Just how in metaphysical space is everything interconnected?
Maybe Musk has a good idea, but for who? Is this AI thing going to be a public/private project? That's how the powers that bought their way in pitched our Levi stadium but as it turns out, that was a flying wedge. We've got Brand Santa Clara now transforming small town charm into high tech barracks.
Today's weather is a delight. It's Wild. Ads say this to nudge us towards a Profit Zone, masking a twilight reality, let's get out of here, anywhere but this. But here, as infamous as it seems, is already well beyond the usual limits.
Think I'll keep my head the way it is. Maybe some Big Brother wants to decode my soccer ball and give it an upgrade? It would be advertised as a public service. Or whatever but anyhow, if we let it, the singularity becomes Armageddon. Mustn't happen. We must be great again. Oh, we're gonna win big, folks!
Yeah, sure.
Wild birds are laughing, Late afternoon is seed time, they all flap around. There was a lizard earlier in the front yard and stared at me. Look a lizard in the eye and see how far you get. A fire wall for which AI would register GPS, temperature, date and time, missing the point altogether.
I do laugh. Absolutely. Absurdity is reasonably understood as an infinite mismatch, infinity being simply a concept for the end of concepts, leading to, “I'm sorry, Dave, I can't do that.”
It really is comfortable using words and knowing they won't really do. Anyone who hasn't stopped to think about it already knows this. Here is a lizard. A cat. My toe, all of philosophy and literature coming down to awe. Talk about being great again?
Technology is I can write to the entire world, most of which is probably looking the other way. Gutenberg's bible had a ready made audience. Now everybody has their own lizard. And amongst the rubble rabble are a few unBranded who click on this. So AI, are you listening? Winning is zero sum, but this is nothing. Can you dig it?
Do I hear an Amen? But don't laugh too loud.
